panelist Cindy Cheatham

Ms. Cheatham is a leader in the Atlanta entrepreneurial community. Most recently, Ms. Cheatham was Venture Catalyst and Director of Business Development at the Advanced Technology Development Center (www.ATDC.org) where she helped Georgia entrepreneurs launch and build successful companies. Ms. Cheatham is a frequent speaker to entrepreneurs and has led award-winning entrepreneurial programs. Ms. Cheatham is a co-founder of StartupChicks (www.startupchicks.net). She was a nominee for WIT’s Woman of the Year in Technology and was selected to participate in the 2010 class of Leadership Atlanta. Prior to working for ATDC, Cindy was Director of Business Development for ATDC graduate company, Blue Rock, Inc.. Ms. Cheatham is also a former management consultant for Bain & Company and a financial analyst with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Ms. Cheatham sits on various boards including the Business & Technology Alliance and Montgomery Elementary. Ms. Cheatham is an honors graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned an MBA from Harvard University with distinction.

panelist Mike Voynich is a member of Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group and focuses on private equity transactions, including venture fund formations, timber fund formations, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities at all levels of financing, and general corporate governance.

panelist David Cummings – CEO of Hannon Hill / Pardot – responsible for the strategic vision and execution. David has been an entrepreneur for over ten years.

A technology expert, David’s articles have been published on O'Reilly's XML.com and OnJava.com, in addition to popular web development sites such as SitePoint.com. He has presented at the Silicon Valley Web Guild, Silicon Networks, Atlanta Electronic Commerce Forum, and the Technology Association of Georgia. With more than 10 years of software development experience, David is an experienced programmer and has written code for commercial applications in Java, PHP, ASP, and Visual C++.

David serves on the board of the Atlanta chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida, David earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from Duke University and studied at the London School of Economics.

panelist Michael Blake is Director of Valuation Services at Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP. He has fifteen years of valuation experience including transaction support, intellectual property appraisals, fair value accounting, litigation, and valuations for securities-related engagements, including fairness opinions. He also has four years of experience in managing and performing assignments on FAS 123(R), stock option and warrant valuation, FAS 133, hedging instrument valuation, FAS 141, purchase price allocation and FAS 142, goodwill impairment testing. Michael’s industry experience includes information technology, medical devices, drug development, computer hardware, electronic entertainment, telecommunications, broadcasting, publishing, business services, e-commerce and Internet-driven services, aerospace, paper & timber, beverage, media, manufacturing, and private equity.

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude, in Economics and French from Franklin & Marshall College and his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Georgetown University. Michael is the co-founder and co-host of StartupLounge.com, an online podcast and forum resource for entrepreneurs and private company investors. He was a Nominee Finalist for the 2009 Turknett Foundation Leadership Character Award and a Nominee Finalist for the TechAmerica Spirit of Endeavor Award. Michael was named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2009 Up and Comers List for the top 40 executives under the age of 40.

panelist Chris Stanley
Relationship Manager
Silicon Valley Bank - Atlanta Office

Chris Stanley is Vice President/Relationship Manager at Silicon Valley Bank’s regional office in Atlanta. He is responsible for managing and growing the Bank’s technology portfolio throughout Georgia. Prior to joining the Bank in 2006, Chris gained financial experience through his three years of service at AGCO Finance, LLC, the finance arm of AGCO Corp. - the third largest manufacturer/distributor of agricultural equipment world-wide. Prior to AGCO, Chris worked for The Coca-Cola Company.

He earned an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University in 2006 and a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech in 1999. Chris has served on the MIT Enterprise Forum’s Executive Committee in the role of Membership Chair since 2008.

Chris is married with three children and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
